Review of the Dreame F9 Robot Vacuum Mop

Right click and choose 'translate to Melayu' if you wish to read in Malay.

I think maybe only few know about Dreame F9 in Malaysia, because I’ve tried searching a review about it but I didn’t find any. Many review about the Xiaomi Mijia 1C. So I wanted to give my thought about it hope it will help others who are searching for a review.

I bought this robot with the hope it can help me with my house chores especially for my daily floor sweeping and yes it did. Gladly I bought it and now I didn’t spent many of my time to sweep the floor every day anymore. I can schedule the robot to start cleaning at specific time I want. Best thing is I even can make the robot do the cleaning while I’m away with the helping of my WIFI of course and monitor it using the app. Imagine returning from a tiring day of work and being greeted with a dust-free floor. For me it a worthwhile expenses

Appearance. It’s look like regular robot vacuum with white color and round body. The height is only 8cm make it easier to reach under furniture. The overall appearance look slick and similar with the Xiaomi Mijia 1C.

App. The robot is controlled using Xiaomi Home app. Every complete cleaning made by the robot is recorded in this app. If the robot stuck while doing cleaning the app will let you know and you’ll have to help the robot, if not it will not resume cleaning. The robot also can do zone/room cleaning means it can clean a particular area/room you want by setting it on app. Other advantage of Dreame F9 which Xiaomi Mijia 1C didn’t have is its have a no mop zone means I can setting a virtual no mop zone in the app to restrict the robot from going to certain place for example carpet and it will avoid these area in mopping mode.

Each mopping and vacuum have three different levels: Low,medium, high

App settings

All the cleaning history

Battery
. The battery capacity are 5200mAH, which bigger than Mijia 1C (2400mAH). Bigger the battery, longer the running time (150 min) and larger cleaning area coverage (160m²). Very suitable for large home. The robot will return back to it's dock for automatic charging and will resume cleaning if the cleaning aren’t complete yet.

Suction power. 2500pa. Again similar with the Xiaomi Mijia 1C. Powerful enough to suck dust, hair, fur and all your hatred. Haha just kidding... but really it works like wonder.

Cleaning. The dustbin capacity is 600ml with HEPA Filter that washable. This type of air filter can theoretically remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm). The robot also can do wet mopping with an electric water pump inside the robot that I can control the water output in the app, (three level of water output: low, medium, high)

Sensor. Don’t worry if your home have carpet and stairs, the robot have carpet booster and cliff/anti-drop sensor that prevent robot from falling from stairs or high place. It can detect carpet and automatically increase the suction power to vacuum the carpet and return to it's normal vacuum when its done. Another advantage because the Xiaomi Mijia 1C didn't have this feature.

Mapping. The mapping are about 98% accurate. Very precise with a camera and gyroscope sensor. Unfortunately, this model is not suitable for double storey house because its only can save one floor map. If you have double storey house you can choose the Dreame D9 or Deebot Ozmo 950.

Noise. The sound is acceptable and not too loud. You might think I’m weird but (idc) I think the robot’s sound gave me a relaxing, restful feeling. A feeling of knowing your house will be clean and you no need to worry about anything (well at least the floor). Just like a therapy.

Overall performance I gave 4 star over 5. The cleaning cover about 95%. The mop in the other hand doing only about 60% but still I was very happy with it

I think that it for now, I'll be doing more review about it in the future maybe about the maintenance or how I feel after using it in long time or anything you want me to share. Just comment on what you all want to know and l will do my best to share my thoughts. Thank you for reading. Please follow me for more updates.
